If you are using your insurance benefits to pay for your sessions your co-payments are due at the time of each session. We will bill your insurance company if you are using insurance.

Dr. Comin prefers personal checks or cash as payment. Credit cards are accepted and can be used if desired.

INSURANCE:
Dr. Comin provides high quality, individualized psychological services. Her practice is not compatible with managed care emphasis on brief symptom reduction.  Therefore, Dr. Comin does not participate in HMO, or EAP insurance panels.  If requested, she will provide a statement that can be submitted directly to the insurance company for out-of-network benefits and PPO. At this time we accept the following insurances, Medicare, Aetna and Blue Shield Federal PPO. If you have any questions please contact our office.

Please be advised that to collect insurance benefits, a mental health diagnosis must be provided to the insurance company and is then part of the individual's permanent health record. To ensure maximum confidentiality, Dr. Comin strongly suggests that patients not involve their health insurance carrier in their mental health treatment.

Dr. Comin has a  48-hour business day cancellation policy except for emergencies.  If you do not give 48-hour business day notification for cancelling you will be charged for the full session fee, which is based on the negotiated rate with your insurance provider or our office.  Please be advised that  insurance companies are not responsible for paying your missed sessions or late cancellations.
